Reflecting on Memorable Moments and an Exciting Sneak Peek into What Lies Ahead!
It is that time of year again. It is a time for reflection, goal-setting, and daydreaming. 2023 was a year of alignment filled with growth, intention, and accolades. As I head into this 15th year of entrepreneurship, I am still sewing seeds, but I am always so grateful to the clients and vendors who have been a part of this journey with me.
I received a few incredibly heartfelt cards in the mail over the holiday season, and one note from a client read, "We have loved working with you and can't wait to see your vision for our home come to life in 2024/25." Here’s a review of what happened in 2023 and what we have coming up in the new year…
2023’s Finest Moments
Our top project highlight of 2023 was seeing the vision for a newly built and gorgeous home for the sweetest family come to life in the coastal town of Cohasset. We also got to do a two-day photo shoot over the summer and fall, and we cannot wait to share these with you soon. One of our core values is service: "Consistency in Excellence," which also supports our goal of always finding a giving-back project to serve others in our community. We led a group of incredible volunteers and moved a mom and her son from a shelter into permanent housing in the Spring with Heading Home.

We won two awards at the 2023 IFDA Gala in the fall
We were featured in two editorials: Ocean Home featured a coastal home we completed in Rhode Island. Also, Boston Home magazine showcased a glorious dining room that was part of a larger project we completed in Winchester, MA.

The BOD BOSS group of like-minded interior designers that I am a part of met twice in 2023. Our Toronto trip was hosted by Veronica of Two Fold Interiors. I came back inspired and a little closer to this incredible group of women. We then got to host the group in Boston in the fall, and I hosted one of the members, Jodie Carter, at my home. There is something so special about connecting with women who are creatives and leaders.
We culminated the trip with a visit to the studio that Lori set up beautifully to show them my full-service process for the RDP phase of a project. I also took them all on a tour of our studio, showing them how we organize the studio and projects and the rationale, which they all loved so much that I am researching doing a mastermind of sorts on this subject. Overcoming Challenges in 2023
Our toughest challenge of 2023 was finding a balance to keep my small business "small" and take on just enough projects to keep us happily busy and profitable, which sounds far easier than reality. The "why" here is that mid-year in 2023, I had to make a shift. I needed more flexibility to find a better work/life balance. Taking on fewer and ideal client full-service projects in 2024 is our new goal.

After some much-needed time off, we are excited to officially launch our new and improved interior design services offerings in 2024. There is such a great need out there for high-level expert advice for residential clients, realtors clients, and builders clients that may not need full service, yet they do need advice from a well-versed expert.
