Osterville Coastal House

The swirl of the waves. The rustling of the reeds. The layers upon layers of texture in this beach house.
This home feels like summer – with its joy and buoyancy lingering like the last bite of ice cream after a great day on the Cape. These longtime clients came to me with a wish for an easy-breezy, family-friendly but sophisticated beach house design that would be fit for them, their children and their grandchildren. Some of my favorite sources provided the pops of color to compliment the light-hearted but thoughtful design (looking at you Dunes and Duchess.)

This coastal living room was grounded with a custom shaped carpet to maximize the space, and paired with textured lounge chairs with bright aqua cushions and a white, organic shaped side table.

This coastal home feels bright and airy because of the white walls and ceilings, but is made warm and fun through the use of textured wicker chairs, hanging woven egg chairs, and bright blue accents.

This coastal New England home makes the most of every season with. it's bright white walls and beach-themed fireplace. The aqua mosaic fireplace tile adds a splash of color while the beige fireplace stone brings a clean sandy feel. This seating area

This traditional mantel was painted white and paired with a bright blue mosaic fireplace tile to keep the coastal theme. The fireplace is finished with a sandy toned chevron tile, and styled with white and blue vases and airy greenery.

This coastal home has large bookcases with brushed bronze drawers and hardware to give a nice accent. The bookcases are styled with warm textured and woven accents that are paired with light blue accents and beach-themed decor for a coastal feel.

This coastal home uses white walls to ground the space, and accents the walls with turquoise, blue, and warm wood furniture, wall art, and green and blue throw pillows.
