Justine Sterling
Owner and Principal Designer
At Justine Sterling Design, great design isn’t only about aesthetics—it’s about discovering what home truly means to you and crafting a space that reflects your lifestyle with effortless functionality. One client put it best: “Now I get it—you’re not just designers; you’re risk managers, and you sell trust.”
With over 30 years of experience, Justine has built a reputation for creating layered interiors, modern yet cozy, and refined yet livable. Whether a full-scale renovation or a carefully curated interior, our Discovering Home process ensures every choice is intentional, balancing sophistication with warmth and practicality. By guiding you through decisions with clarity and expertise, we help you avoid costly mistakes and create a home that feels just right. At Justine Sterling Design, we don’t just create beautiful interiors, we help you design a home you love without the stress of making the wrong decisions. Because, in the end, home isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it makes you feel.
Justine’s work has been featured in New England Home, Coastal Home, North Shore Home, Modern Luxury Interiors Boston, The Boston Globe, and Boston Home. She is an award-winning designer based just north of Boston with a portfolio spanning urban condominiums, historic renovations, and new construction homes. She values integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, principles that guide every project. When she’s not designing, she enjoys tennis, pilates, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
Lori Kealey
Designer, Justine Sterling Design
Lori’s path to interior design wasn’t linear, but it was always inevitable. Having lived in many states across the U.S., she developed a natural curiosity for how different environments shape the way people live. During the quiet and reflective months of Covid, she realized that her true passion lay in creating spaces that feel meaningful, functional, and deeply personal. She followed that instinct—returning to school to study interior design.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) and later completed the Interior Design Certificate program at Parsons The New School, where she refined her eye for materials, spatial flow, and architectural detail.
Lori’s aesthetic sensibilities lean toward moody French Country—a balance of rustic charm and refined character. She’s drawn to natural textures like exposed brick, warm wooden beams, and stone, and while she can appreciate a bright, airy room, her heart gravitates toward richer tones and atmospheric spaces that feel lived-in and layered.
Curious by nature and endlessly creative, Lori loves designing new spaces, learning new things, and embracing the present moment. Outside the studio, she can be found skiing, golfing, or playing pickleball, and she treasures time spent with family and friends—often gathered around a pool table, a deck of cards, or relaxing at the lake.
Lori brings warmth, enthusiasm, and thoughtful attention to every project, making her a valued part of the Justine Sterling Design team.
