Marblehead Coastal

Set along the rocky coastline of Marblehead, this project focused on two meaningful secondary spaces: a welcoming patio designed for outdoor entertaining and a thoughtfully reimagined carriage house.

Justine Sterling Design created the interior design and styling for both spaces, bringing a refined yet relaxed coastal aesthetic to life through layered textures, timeless furnishings, and intentional details. In the carriage house, we designed the full kitchen and cabinetry layout to maximize both function and comfort within the compact footprint, creating a space tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle. Anchored by sweeping ocean views, the design centered around creating a welcoming retreat with a sleeper sofa for guests, a dedicated coffee and gifting station, and custom storage solutions for everyday essentials and seasonal pieces. Personal touches throughout, including curated artwork and sentimental details, bring warmth and character to the space. Completed in early fall 2025, Marblehead Coastal reflects a thoughtful balance of coastal sophistication, functionality, and the joy of designing a home around the way it is truly lived in.
