Our Takeaways at Fall High Point Market 2025

Every time we visit High Point Market, we come back buzzing with ideas. There’s something special about walking through so many beautifully crafted spaces, meeting the people behind the work, and seeing design up close — how a chair actually feels, how a finish catches the light, how craftsmanship shows up in the details.

This trip was full of those moments. We spent a few days exploring, taking notes, and collecting inspiration for the projects we’re working on now (and dreaming about next).

What caught our eye most weren’t passing trends, but designs that feel lasting, thoughtful pieces that combine creativity, comfort, and quality.

Curves & Scallops

Curves, scallops, and rounded edges appeared throughout the showrooms, from classic, soft lines in sofas and chairs to fun, sculptural shapes that add interest and make a statement.

Custom Lighting

Lighting continues to feel like the jewelry of a space. We saw custom colors, organic shapes, textured finishes, patterned shades, painted details, and linen lamps, all pieces that feel sculptural, distinctive, and often handmade.

Game Tables

Game tables are meant to bring people together, and we loved seeing them in beautiful finishes and unexpected forms.

Earthy Tones

Warm neutrals, rich browns, and terracotta hues grounded so many of the collections, cozy and versatile all at once.

Full Upholstery

Fully upholstered furniture feel both cozy and polished, with full skirts and covered legs that add softness, texture, and a fully finished look.

Retro & Bold

We spotted nods to the past, interpreted in playful and modern ways, pieces that feel nostalgic but fresh.

Ottomans & Seats

We saw ottomans in all shapes, sizes, and textures, including playful mushroom shapes, along with plenty of cool chairs. Sculptural, flexible, and endlessly useful, these are the kinds of pieces that move with you and your space, and yes, we take the sit test very seriously.

Made in South Africa

It was such a treat for me to see pieces from South African makers this year. Their craftsmanship and natural material palettes reminded me of home and were absolutely stunning.

A Few Extra Details We Loved

And then there are always the surprises, the little things that make us pause. We saw incredible handmade textures, rich dark woods, leather wrapping, lampshades with personality, even pieces created through 3D printing. Mixed materials, island-inspired furniture, burl finish, mauve tones, Venetian influences, and patterned designs all made an impression.

We left High Point Market feeling inspired and re-energized for the work ahead. Trips like this remind us that design is about more than just sourcing furniture — it’s about curiosity, creativity, and connection. Every new discovery helps us bring something meaningful back to our clients’ homes, with pieces that feel personal, intentional, and beautifully lived-in.

One of our favorite parts of full-service design is the final styling and finishing touches. This is when the space truly comes to life and our clients can see its fullest potential. You can explore some of our recently completed projects here.

We are now booking for late summer 2026! If you’d like to secure a spot on our schedule, now’s a great time to get in touch.

We’re excited to hear from you!

Warmly,
Justine
