4 Must-Have Luxury Textiles to Elevate Your Home's Interior Design

Defining luxury textiles can be as varied as the designers themselves. These materials, whether fabric, trim, or rugs, can elevate any room's design. Luxury textiles are often handcrafted, plush, detailed, and delicate. However, we have recently added luxury performance textiles to homes that are easy to clean and work well with families. Using luxury textiles as accents, such as on ottomans, throw pillows, or Roman blinds, keeps the budget at bay. No matter your financial constraints, there is always a way to incorporate luxury within your budget. Here are 4 luxurious textiles for inspiration…

Textile #1: Timeless Velvet for Touchability & Texture

We love how light plays off velvet and mixes with other textures in the room. It feels super luxurious and adds elegance, but when selected as a performance fabric, it can still be kid—and family-friendly.

Textile #2: Classic Linen for Elegance & Comfort

Linen-look-like fabrics are a favorite of ours. They have come a long way and exude elegance just like a pair of linen pants. Sure, they can get a little wrinkly, but they are a classic if you are okay with an imperfect interior. Laid-back luxe :-)

Textile #3: Hand Printed fabrics for Craftsmanship and Quality

Skilled makers craft hand-printed fabrics such as block or screen printing. Each hand-printed fabric is one-of-a-kind, even if it is a running line with a vendor. Many are printed on linen or organic cotton or linen and can often be customized. They add a depth of detail to an interior and draw your eye in.

Textile #4: Cozy Wool for Softness & Sophistication

Wool is hands down our favorite textile for creating premium area rugs. It has a soft underfoot, durable, and luxurious texture. They add warmth and coziness and can be injected with color or be tone-on-tone, our favorite go-to. They are also an excellent investment and can help with deadening sound in larger surfaced rooms with wood or tiled flooring.

Luxury textiles do not need to be silk, nor do they need to be so delicate.

We use luxury textiles to elevate a space, bringing warmth, rich texture, and interesting patterns. When budget allows, we customize colors and patterns, elevating the foundation pieces in a room. Pieces like rugs and throw pillows can add a little whimsy or artistic flair to many of our client's homes. We love nothing more than having the opportunity to support smaller bespoke companies that are often the leaders in unique luxury textiles and designs.

If you're ready to enhance the textiles in your home, reach out to us. We can't wait to hear about your project and help you add that touch of luxury!

Until next time,

Justine
