Give by design: Heading Home to Dinner

Modern island-inspired bar cart

Auctioned off for Heading Home

A nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness

When I heard about the Heading Home for Dinner event, I knew I needed to submit a proposal. The concept was simple: local designers and the greater design community would come together to build inspiring tables and bar carts for viewing and an auction. The proceeds would directly benefit the organization, Heading Home: a charity dedicated to ending homelessness in Boston.

The final concept

My proposal was accepted and I got to work on a Modern Island theme. (You can get the full backstory on my inspiration when I took over the Heading Home to Dinner Instagram page.)This modern island cart would be the epitome of an effortlessly chic summer-time bash. If I could have - I would have bid on my own cart. I certainly had fun designing it. Oh, and my cocktail recipe for the *very best* Gin and Tonic was also included. Go ahead and make it for your next party!

A note about GIVE BY DESIGN

When there is a nonprofit organization, a charitable initiative or even a sustainable vendor doing good in this world, we usually like to share about it. Heading Home to Dinner is just one way Justine Sterling Design gives by design. Will you join us in making the world a more beautiful and charitable place to be?
